Just that really, had enough of the 9-5 in an office and would love to pursue my own venture! Any small business ideas?

Place marking as I'm thinking the same but honestly don't know what I feel passionate enough about to do the same.

@cushioncovers Its hard isn’t it? I feel like I have a few ideas here and there… but not come across anything yet that I can see myself living and breathing enough to actually make good money! Or any idea I have, has been overdone, yet to find something in my area that hasn’t been done and mastered?!

You need to see the thread about the mother copying the daughters work from home online business. People won't just hand over ideas for you to compete against them.

However, having said that what sort of things are you actually interested in? Then think about how you would turn that into a business.

Whatever you decide to do, ensure it’s not your only source of income. Wah is difficult and can result in not much money coming your way.
Ultimately I doubt people will give up their business ideas (I have two or three that I have been working on for a while, I got qualified to do something else from home and I also do call centre work and work for a friend too) but I think they will be happy to give you pointers and tips.

I'd like to do something creative. But understand that this would just be a hobby with little income. I'd have to keep my job. I only work part time though so could fit it around the hours I'm not working. I just want something where I'm not surrounded by people and can enjoy some peaceful relaxing creative time

@ReservoirDogs Haha bit different, not every single business in the world is completely unique, every company has competitors. I just would like ideas, ideas I have had:

  • Online clothing shop (have already researched but takes a lot of seed money to buy stock in bulk etc.)
  • Stock market / trade
  • Life coaching
  • Buying and reselling coins?! Sounds incredibly boring but some people make a killing on Ebay!

Things like that really!

Although I say lifecoaching… I suppose a lifecoach wouldn’t be on Mumsnet asking for advice hahaha!

My son is 15 and has started buying and selling stuff online. He buys Palace/Supreme limited edition stuff on the day of release and sells it for twice the price!
He is making almost as much money as me! He recently bought a pair of limited edition Yeezees (sp?) for £160 and sold them for £320! Confused

@user1483390742 wow! how cool is that, good luck to him!
