To love wafting the drying?

Staying somewhere with a tumble dryer. What a revelation. Took the first load out and it had that sort of steamed "is it still wet?" feeling. Few wafts in the air and its obviously dry. And now aired. And cooled down for folding etc.

Second load - "dh come and waft this drying with me" - he was amazed!

Im now 80% of a bottle of white down, post-movie (Oceans 8 - naff), and there is 65 mins left on the tumble dryer before wafting time!!.

Oh lordy what have I become?

This is fabulous! What a night you have before you OP!! Grin

Even better - he is off to bed shortly. Meaning I can attempt to follow the final episode of Keeping Faith through a Sauvignon Blanc haze whilst keeping one eye on the tumbler clock.

Enjoy the small things in life! YANBU. It’s a bit like pegging up your washing to dry out in the garden on a lovely summer day, or stroking the cat or getting into a freshly made bed, or using a freshly sharpened pencil.....

NapQueen · 30/08/2018 22:39

Oh a big fat yes to all of those things.

If they all happen on one day I am officially winning at life.

Your post has made me feel so content and happy! Waft that drying Grin

YY to everything HotSauce mentioned . Had an intense but satisfying moment earlier when the drying towels on the line were becoming quite perfectly done even though the weather didn't appear to be the right sort for that to happen. Ahhhh.

MrSlant · 30/08/2018 22:45

I'm going to change my sheets and shave my legs before bedtime tomorrow just for that moment when I get into bed.

Treaclepie19 · 30/08/2018 22:46

Haha! Enjoy your wafting, definitely.

NancyDonahue · 30/08/2018 23:06

Enjoy! I love to bury my face and take a deep sniff of the freshly dried towels while they're still warm.

I also love opening the dishwasher and getting a face full of steam.

Smidge001 · 30/08/2018 23:12

You're 'staying' somewhere, and are already on your third load of washing?! Did you bring all your laundry with you from home once you found out they had a tumbled ruer? Grin

IvorHughJarrs · 30/08/2018 23:15

I read the title as "wafting the dying" and was very concerned!

...but, yes, tumble dryers are ace!

OraangeSoda · 30/08/2018 23:21

Sorry but what does ‘and now aired’ mean? I’ve seen it mentioned on here several times about airing washing and don’t understand what it means. Confused

anitagreen · 30/08/2018 23:23

Op you've got around 14 minutes I think until the next load is ready wafting x

Tiredtomybones · 30/08/2018 23:33

Are you ready to waft, OP?

Spongeface · 30/08/2018 23:36

It's so wrong I'm looking forward to it too....waft away! Have a tumble dryer but have never used it yet . Reckon come winter I will be wafting with the rest of you!

NapQueen · 30/08/2018 23:48

Oh im in wafting heaven right now. And Smidge yup - lots of beach days and we are staying on a farm so we end up rotten and sandy by 6pm.

NapQueen · 30/08/2018 23:49

We will also sad loser face do a last load tomorrow before we leave so I can unpack straight into the wardrobe.

I love staying in places with a washing machine so I can go home with clean clothes! I stayed in a place once that had an amazing laundry room and using it was one of my favourite parts of the holiday Blush
