I live in a small village next to the Church. Tonight, my daughter and I discovered someone fly tipping by the Church railings. I took note of the car number and make. Tomorrow, I intend to report them. AIBU?

What was dumped

Personally I think fly tipping and littering of non biodegradable materials should carry the death penalty. No one would do it if they thought it would risk their life even if there was a high chance of not getting caught. Or at least those who would surely would be worthy of a Darwin Award anyway.

YANBU.

Report away, it costs a fortune to clear up and it’s highly antisocial.

Your local council should have a service for that.

Not sure about the police.

Yanbu
We’ve seen a massive increase locally due to the tip now charging to dispose of waste.

Is it a trampoline

You should have taken a photo of the car, otherwise you could be accusing anyone.

They could just deny it, and day it's a malicious allegation.

ChibiTotoro · 30/08/2018 22:46

Go on to your local council website and you can probably report it online.

YANBU to report it.

Viebienremplie · 30/08/2018 23:10

This is a huge problem in our village too. You must report. Whilst I detest fly-tippers, the people who pay peanuts to get their junk cleared on the cheap by these criminals are just as bad imo!

gamerchick · 30/08/2018 23:11

Definitely report it. The council will only take photos and dish out leaflets trying to find who did it. Save them a job.
