Walking to a meeting this morning, past a car showroom and one of the cars had a seagull on it - it’s head was down the bit between the windscreen and the bonnet opening (tiny gap). It didn’t look injured from what I could see but it wasn’t moving so I wasn’t sure if it was alive or not.
looked in the window of the showroom and couldn’t see anyone and was already late so as I was walking I googled them and called them. I explained what I’d seen and said it might be dead or it might need rescuing. The woman I spoke to clearly thought I was mad - is it really that weird to call? Obviously if it was alive it needed help right away, and if not I’m sure they don’t want dead animals lying on vehicles they’re trying to sell so figured I was doing them a favour!
I just feel bad I didn’t have time to stop and talk to someone / help - would you have called or walked past? I just thought it might be hours / all day before a staff member looked around enough to see it as it was facing the road and not visible from inside.
