After complaining about parking threads I have one of my own.
I live in a cul-de-sac, right at the bottom, far away from the offending area. There is on street parking in the cul-de-sac and everyone parks nose or boot in - you get more cars in that way. As long as they are standard length cars there is plenty of room for everyone to park and get in and out of their spaces and in and out of the cul-de-sac. There are no allocated car parking spaces.
Recently a long white van has started parking right at the entrance of the cul-de-sac which is fine except their van overlaps the entrance of the cul-de-sac by about 3 or 4 feet. I always come in from the main road as shown on the diagram, then cross the inner road and into my road. The van being there means I have to do a wiggle.
The junction of the inner road, my road and the linking road is always really busy and if I'm trying to get in as someone is coming out it can't be done. One has to wait for the other with the position of the van.
AIBU to be put out? Legally can he overhang the entrance like that? If not who could I report it to.
It's just becoming a nuisance now.
