Do they put the better quality crisps into 'individual' bags and put 2nd class ones into the multipacks?

If I buy a multipack of day Walker's crisis, they always seen to be the smaller/broken ones but if I buy an individual bag I get large, unbroken crisps

I definitely think you get much less in a multipack bag!

The multipacks are a lot smaller sparkles something like 25g compared to 32.5g.

I think my multi pack crisps are often broken because they get crushed in the trolley/bag. I only buy a single bag if they are to be eaten immediately, so no chance to get squished!

They also seem to have a disproportionate number of crisps with brown bits on IME.
