Husband does cartoon voice

My husband is 40 and when he’s had a few beers he starts talking and singing in a cartoon voice. It bugs the shit out of me and makes me grumpy because to me it is so dire and I don’t like him making our son think it’s normal. Maybe I’m supposed to find it funny but i just cringe. AIBU?

I feel for you. I hate people making voices.

Does this happen often? I wouldn't be happy if my children saw either of us acting under the influence of alcohol on a regular basis.

YABVU - unless he is drunk all the time (which is a bigger problem) then ignore it..

WhiteDust · 26/08/2018 08:28

Just ask him to stop. Each and every time.
If he ignores you, tell him to stop & leave he room.
He'll get the message!

ScreamingValenta · 26/08/2018 08:32

Any particular cartoon, OP?

NadiaLeon · 26/08/2018 08:55

Is it TopCat or Bugs Bunny? That would get on my tits...

Turnitaroundagain · 26/08/2018 10:02

It’s a speedy gonzalez type of voice. I think he would feel like I was being a spoil sport if I told him to stop it. But no, neither of us are big drinkers at all and it’s definitely not drunk behaviour so y’know relaxing not always so easy when you don’t drink...so I see it as his way of relaxing so I should somehow try not to let it bug me. Thanks for your replies you made me laugh and I realise I’m being a grumpy idiot 🙀🙏
