As the title says, I need a gift idea ASAP. Any nice smellies, perfumes etc no chocolates.

How about a voucher for a manicure at a nice day spa/salon - does she like that sort of thing?

wizzler · 26/08/2018 06:58

Flowers?
What brands does she like? £30 is quite a lot to spend on something she might not like

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 26/08/2018 06:58

Oliver bonas sale some nice bits of jewellery there?

PossiblyPFB · 26/08/2018 07:04

SomeCharlotte Tilbury makeup or similar? Their lipsticks are between £17 and £24 or for £30 you can get a nice blusher.

I’d be very happy with either of those as a gift! A little treat I wouldn’t necessarily buy for myself.

Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe · 26/08/2018 07:26

lush bath bombs?

carrie74 · 26/08/2018 08:09

True Grace room scents are amazing, and incredibly long lasting.

Flamboyant Teas look amazing (if she's a tea drinker, maybe with a nice mug) www.thepresentfinder.co.uk/buy/gin-tonic-flamboyant-tea_3217.htm

L'Occitane hand cream and sets are lovely.

NewUserNameTime · 26/08/2018 08:10

Molton Brown toiletries

NewUserNameTime · 26/08/2018 08:11

Ignore the line through above. I love Molton Brown

icelollycraving · 26/08/2018 08:17

L’ Occitane always have nice sets or just something like the almond shower oil.
True Grace range is wonderful and I like the fact you can get refills.
White Company diffuser. My fave is grapefruit but summer is lovely too.

BirthdayBlueBo · 26/08/2018 08:22

Joules have some gorgeous big scarves for £30 and less.

wafflethewonderdog · 26/08/2018 08:27

Jo malone handwashes are £30.

Redtartanshoes · 26/08/2018 08:31

Second woodwick candles. They are lovely and make the most comforting sound.

I’d maybe stay away from make up unless you know the colours she wears, maybe nail varnish though? Not bath bombs... unless she’s 9 Grin

imsorryiasked · 26/08/2018 08:31

Ollie & Nic have some lovely purses / bags in the sale and free delivery over £20

bridgetreilly · 26/08/2018 08:49

Try TKMaxx or HomeSense?

mydogishot · 26/08/2018 08:59

I'd go to etsy and buy a bespoke bracelet or similar.
Lots of tiny home based companies are on there and you could get something quite special for a good price.

Sunnysidegold · 26/08/2018 09:01

I have now just bought myself 2 new bags from Ollie and nic thanks to the link above. Both for me despite the idea behind this thread.

Some lovely suggestions here op, any more clues about your sil and what she likes?

Strappedformoney · 26/08/2018 09:02

Thank you so much, some lovely ideas. I might get a few things, instead of one gift.

Regarding the woodwick candles, which scent would you recommend?

She's 47 btw Grin

Leather gloves

Strappedformoney · 26/08/2018 09:04

@Sunnysidegold hope you enjoy the bags Wink. She likes makeup, perfumes, bags etc. She got me a bag earlier this year, I just want to give her something different.

If she has a garden, a bush or perennial flowering plant to plant outside.

obviousNC101 · 26/08/2018 09:06

I'd get one of the three-colour woodwicks. They change scent as they change to the next colour. There's a blue one which smells super clean and oceany and then gets more flowery as it burns down and the colour gets darker

Deadheadstickeronacadillac · 26/08/2018 09:37

Liz Earle essentials try me kit

trojanpony · 26/08/2018 09:38

Lush happy birthday gift set
It’s really rather nice

Lana1234 · 26/08/2018 09:47

Nip and fab currently have a £5 favourites sale on. You could get her a couple of skincare bits and a couple of nice lipsticks if she likes that sorta thing
