TV stars and botox - WTF?

I don't have any issue with aesthetic enhancements per se, but - has anybody noticed an increase in TV stars with botox/ fillers - when it doesn't suit their character? e.g. Kat Slater on Eastenders - doesn't have two pennies to rub together but has a face FULL of fillers? Kathy Beale now looks younger than her son. Pretty sure Neil Morrisey's top lip looked like it had been filled in Unforgotten too.
I was also watching a series from a couple of years ago recently and the actress playing a poor little old irish lady had her lips done and botox in her forehead.
AIBU to wish casting directors would stop this? I mean, it makes it really hard to buy into their characters.

Glimpsed a bit of corrie the other day and Eileen? Looked 15years younger than when she was first cast donkeys years ago.

It's so sad. They're generally young, very pretty girls who are completely ruining their looks. I thought Eileen had just lost weight?

Rula Lenska has had so much work done that her top lip barely moves and she can't seem to talk properly any more.

I don't have an issue with it pre se and may even consider it myself some day - I'm mainly talking about when it doesn't suit the character, you know? or when a long standing character suddenly looks 20 years younger and the producers just hope nobody watching at home notices!

I love watching Carla Connor's completely immobile forehead!

You could well be right zippity, I havent watched it for over 10 years and it was just a bit of trailer. However when she first went into Corrie I'd say we were of a similar age, both of us wrong side of 40 and looking a bit worn. But its only me that's aged 15+ years as far as I can see! Good luck to her.
