...decorating the house we're moving into, ALONE, listening to my best playlist and sipping prosecco every so often?

I rarely have child free time and it just feels glorious! This is my favourite Saturday evening in a while Grin

That sounds like an amazing Saturday night 😂

DroningOn · 25/08/2018 18:22

Amazing what passes for an epic evening when you have kids.....

Ours are off to Gran's and we're in for netflix, Indian takeaway and a lie in... Bliss!

Sounds lovely!

DD is at her dad's and I'm off down the pub for an hour or two. Then home, maybe for a bath but definitely for another g&t

ItWentInMyEye · 25/08/2018 18:38

Honestly, I almost class this as a night out 😂 all of your evenings sound lovely too!

@DroningOn I'm absolutely jealous of your lie in Envy

I send my beloved family away to the seaside just so I can do this! (Well, decorate and sleep like starfish across the whole bed). YANBU

ItWentInMyEye · 25/08/2018 18:45

@GerdaLovesLili I may have to use your idea in future! This is actual bliss. Yeah I've only got camp chairs to sit on, but there's nobody asking me to wipe their bum or get them a Babybel every 2 minutes Grin

You get to actually concentrate on what you're trying to do, for HOURS at a time? Bliss! I've totally lost my attention span since I had my 3 year old and find it extremely frustrating.

ItWentInMyEye · 25/08/2018 19:19

@catsofa It's a complete rarity that this is happening.... BUT... I'll be doing the same tomorrow too! Can't quite believe my luck!
