To ask for help with Microsoft Word 2010?

I'm trying to update my CV on Word 2010. I don't have a clue what I've inadvertently clicked on, but after every word, it shows a full stop, every time I press enter, it shows up a sort of backwards "P" sort of thing.

I know it won't show up when printed, but it's driving my eyes mad, & I can't focus!

Can anyone tell me how to fix it. please?

You’ve put the non-printing characters on. There’s nothing to worry about!

On the toolbar there’ll be the backwards P symbol somewhere. Press that and it’ll go away.

On the Home toolbar, there’s a button that looks like a backwards P. Turn that off.
