Their dad walked out earlier in the year. Has contact every other weekend. Kids are under 10.
They will visit dad for a week on their return.

YANBU. Be prepared though - he may ask to do the same next Xmas.

As above. Only acceptable if you are happy to agree to him having them for a week over xmas next year. It is probably better to establish a reasonable agreement such as one gets xmas day/one gets boxing day.

What is your contact agreement for Christmas / New year?

KingKongNoWrong · 25/08/2018 08:39

He left without giving us a reason and blocking me out of his life so I’m not sure what he’s planning to do on Christmas or New Year.
He will not speak to me.

I doubt you’ll get a week if it goes to court. And if you do it’ll be week about. Are you going to be happy with that?

Are you prepared for him to take them away for a week next year?

But as PP have said it's highly unlikely you'd get a week if it went to court. It's more typical to alternate with one of you gets Christmas day, the other gets Boxing day and you switch the following year then.
