AIBU? Telephone interview arranged. They never called!

Aibu to steer clear?? Applied for the position back in June and heard nothing until today. Recruitment agency called and said the company would liked to interview me via telephone today. They could not give me an exact time though so I have sat and waited all day and the phone call didn’t come. I think this is extremely poor in terms of recruitment for a professional position in a large organisation. What would you do!?

I'd give them till 6. Then write a polite email enquiring.

Call the agency and ask them to inquire for you. Be measured and composed, but tell them you waited in all day.

The agency may have cocked up so don't jump the gun.

But if it was the company then that doesn't look good unless there is a really good explanation.

Find out what happened and take it from there

I would give them a call and politely explain. It's possible that the person is unexpectedly off and there's been no full handover done
