Posting here for traffic. A friend has just lost his dad & is absolutely devastated. Does anyone have any ideas on a nice gift/keepsake I can get for him in memory of his dad? Thank you.

My grandad died last autumn and I've found it nice to have inherited a piece of his furniture. So I would think the best thing would be something that was personal to his Dad.

Otherwise the only thing I can think of would be printing and framing a photograph, or putting together a book of photographs.

There are companies that make blankets out of shirts, they're a little pricey though. If his dad wore shirts and he can bear to give them up so soon that might be an option?

Similar to PP you could obtain a well worn shirt of the Dads from the family to make a cushion using part of the shirt . Along with a photo of him wearing the shirt it could be a lovely warm memorial

As pp said framed picture or photo book is thoughtful. I got a rose bush & planted it in my garden to remember my Dad by then had a small natural stone engraved with his name under it. (he loved gardening/ his roses).
