To ask why women feel the need to do this

I’ve seen so many posts recently about women worried there partner might be cheating and I can’t help but wonder why woman feel they are responsible for whether their partner cheats or not?

I’m a member of a FB group (local mum tribe type of thing) and there are so many comments of “you need to stop him from doing X before he cheats”

I’m not being combative, but I honestly don’t know why people feel this would make a difference?

I’ve always believed it’s my responsibility to insure I don’t cheat and my husbands responsibility to insure he doesn’t. I cant be responsible for making sure he doesn’t cheat - I’d go mad!

You can’t stop a dog from peeing on a tree, the most you can do is tell him what tree.

Because women are conditioned to believe it's a failing in themselves if their partner cheats rather than a failing/selfish choice made by their partner?

Because they weren't good enough of a woman to prevent him straying?
