Favorite Spanish spots? Or other

Planning a 3 week - 4 week trip for next summer. Aim is to spend 2 weeks in one place, and 2 in another.

I really like calpe, for the atmosphere, wide variety and old town, yet being able to have a lively night out if you want to.

Any other places you recommend? I was thinking Ibiza, the old town maybe.

Basically somewhere that's not 'mad' but lively enough without being tacky!

Don't drive. So central locations to the town area is a must. What would you do? Maybe live it up in luxury a little for the first 2 weeks then self catering after?

Benelmadena near Malaga is beautiful. Fab marina with gorgeous shops and restaurants plus a huge promenade with more. I love it there.
