I was reading that Asia Argento (one of the most vocal supporters of the @MeToo movement) has been accused of sexually assaulting a young actor she worked with, and paying him $380000 to him to keep him from revealing any details. (This was in 2013).
I was also chatting to a colleague who thinks that this episode exposes the hypocrisy of some people behind the #MeToo movement and that what Argento did proves the movement is ineffective and biased against men.
AIBU to think we actually need it more now than before to tackle the sexual and power abuse men (and in some cases women) have on their victims?
