To think that we shouldn't be praising 13/14/15/16 year olds that get pregnant. The amount of facebook posts i am seeing saying how they are brave, i don't think it's brave, stupid maybe but brave!!
If my 13 year old was pregnant i would feel i had failed as a parent. Mine all know i would be disappointed, so far so good!
I think cancer patients are brave.
Teenagers that dare to go against the grain, to break away from things they know are wrong or are brave enough to say its wrong and not follow the crowds..they are brave.
I think if we keep on patting them on the back whats that teaching them, the government gives them a home, money etc..i am sorry but credit where its due.
My child keeps her nose clean, doesnt get pregnant, studies hard, no one give her money, she works for it, no one is giving her a house.
Plenty of time for babies. Am i alone in this, does anyone else feel that it shouldn't be praised?

I've seen a grand total of zero FB posts as you describe. I'd suggest reconsidering your FB friends list and making some changes.

Theres a lot of teenage pregnancies in my area. 4 girls in my daughters year at school are all expecting! Thats just one school.
And we have seen posts congratulating and saying how brave said girl is.
I just find it very strange to call them brave!
