To keep a laundry basket in the kitchen

I’ve had a few comments about how odd this is but to me it makes sense to me.Most days I go through the bedrooms and bring the dirty washing from the baskets in those rooms downstairs to my “big” laundry basket in the kitchen. I find it easier to sort through and find what can do in washes together this way, and also keep on top of the washing so it doesn’t pile up in bedrooms. The basket is wicker, covered and out of the way in the corner. You’d never know it was a laundry basket.

AIBU to think this is totally normal?! I’ve been made to feel like I’ve got 3 heads!

I’ve not seen it done before but it certainly sounds sensible!

Who made you feel weird? Although it’s very nice to have a dedicated room for laundry it’s not very usual in real life. They’re usually in the kitchen. It therefore stands to reason that there will be dirty/clean laundry around time to time (or always)
