My DS will not take a bottle, ever!

FTM to my 13 week old, I'm EBF and we've had no problems with that - he feeds well and HV was very happy. However, next month there is a day where I will be away from him (morning - early evening). I was planning on expressing some bottles and leaving him with my mum. So we've been practising with bottles a bit and he will not take it. He ends up getting really upset and hungry (hangry, basically) and then I give in and let him have the boob. Do any of you have any tips on getting him to take the bottle? I've tried three different bottles/teats and really don't have the money to buy any others. TIA

Most bottles are fine. It can just take a lot of effort from someone who is not you.

Again, I agree with you Not doing the feeding from the bottle. They can smell your breast milk and downright refuse! My ds would happily feed from dh if I was working (ie out of the house) but otherwise no way. Good luck! Smile
