Sorry if I'm not spelt it correctly.

A thread I was reading was deleted because of this reason and Iv'e never heard of the saying. I won't discuss which thread obviously. TIA

OP posts:

It's when a poster creates another account in a different name to agree with them about something - usually a controversial or inflammatory point.

Louise5754 · 19/08/2018 19:13

Ah right. Thanks for that x

I think its when the OP comes back under a different username commenting on their own thread.

Bunnybigears · 19/08/2018 19:13

Ah X post

It’s where a poster has more than one login (so say one on a laptop and one on their phone, with two different usernames) and so can have a conversation with themselves on a thread. It’s usually used by goady fuckers when they want it to appear as if someone is agreeing with their warped point of view.

iklboo · 19/08/2018 19:13

For instance

iklboo: the moon is made of green cheese

Rest of MN: that's ridiculous

bikloo: no iklboo is right. You're all ridiculous. The moon is definitely made of green cheese.

WeirdCatLady · 19/08/2018 19:14

Oops, sorry, cross post too

AuntieStella · 19/08/2018 19:21

Yes, it's posting as more than one person with an agenda

Not just temporarily forgetting which name you've already used to post on that thread.

ThePinkOcelot · 19/08/2018 19:27

I wondered what that meant as well.

SillySallySingsSongs · 19/08/2018 19:32

I know the thread you are talking about I think and it was pretty obvious that it was happening so wasn't surprised to see if go.

You can usually spot them on threads like that.

user1485342611 · 19/08/2018 19:41

Someone using two different usernames on the same thread.

Sometimes done to defend the indefensible, and sometimes I think to get a nasty swarm off their back while still explaining their point of view.

Ellie56 · 19/08/2018 22:31

Thanks for that. I was wondering too.
