I ordered an item from amazon for next day delivery. It was suppose to come yesterday, However it never arrived. I checked my emails and apparently the courier had attempted to deliver it but was unable to gain access to my property... I live in a house! (so obviously a lie) the item was needed for yesterday and is no good to me anymore but amazon are refusing to refund. Aibu?

Agreed. Once you have received you can return for free, but still really frustrating when you need said item.

Oh right they never said that just that they sent me a new one out “free of charge” erm yes I should imagine! even after I requested a refund instead.

OK now they have sent me two! does that mean they will change me for both?! THis is why I hate online shopping

Happened to me, was once sat watching TV in my front room, got an email saying delivery had been attempted, given that my front room is literally the front room of my house, there's no way anyone attempted any delivery at all without me or my partner noticing.

Couldn't get through to whoever was on the other end of the the online customer service, that although yes, I'll get my parcel tomorrow, did it not bother them that their subcontractors delivering their parcels are bare faced liars, and obviously knocking off early on a Saturday, rather than delivering up until 8pm like they say they'll deliver to?
