To think I can stretch these out

I got a pair of timberlands in the sales. They only had a size 4 left. I'm sometimes a 4 but usually a 5, and these are ok in the length but very narrow on me and are pinching a fair bit.

I've been wearing them for half an hour and they've improved but are still very tight.

Is it silly to think that since they're leather, they'll eventually develop enough give to them and be wearable?

Stuff them with a potato.

If you've got a cobblers locally, they will stretch them for you.

Yes, cobblers is a great idea.

About half a size seems to be very doable for most shoes. Well, ime :)

I've done this with a hairdryer before and it worked: www.wikihow.com/Stretch-New-Shoes

Oh I had no idea a cobbler could do that (it somehow hadn't occurred to me that they exist outside of that one fairy tale).

I've just found one local, so I will ask them.

This is very handy information because my 2yr old has ridiculously wide feet, and won't be satisfied forever with me asking for "just whatever pair fits, there will only be one"

Thank you! Grin
