We live in a block of flats with a communal hall and our neighbours door is directly opposite ours.

The flats are non smoking but the neighbours are smoking weed. His visitors even smoke it in the hall we think as its so strong there sometimes.

As soon as we open our flat door it floats in our flat.

I can smell it on my children's clothes and bedding and school clothes :(

It smells so bad you can smell it outside and two other neighbours from another block have complained to our landlord. In fact one was so fed up of their business smelling of it that they moved.

The letting agent told the other resident and businesses who complained to contact the police.

The police aren't interested as they aren't growing it.

It's making us utterly miserable. We can't afford to move atm.

My child is asthmatic and up at the hospital.

We've tried everything and I don't know what else to do. :(is there anyway we can force action?

Could it be classed as anti social behaviour? Is there someone at the council you could contact about it? Ultimately it's the landlord's responsibility. If you keep complaining to them they will probably not renew their tenancy.

That sounds really awful for you , I would persist in contacting the letting agent surely they have some responsibility if the building is none smoking. Maybe you could post a polite letter and ask if they can take it outside and explain about your children being asthmatic they would have to be huge twats to ignore it.
