Bathroom scales in house keep going wrong! **Lighthearted**

Ok so not really an AIBU - unless I ABIU to expect bathroom scales to not keep going wrong in my house!
Ok, so I brought a new set of dial type scales for the bathroom. I weigh myself regularly, and went on a diet and they showed a stone and a half weight loss.
Started the Cambridge Diet two weeks ago, my consultant comes round to my house. First week lost weight, but not as much as my own scales said - in fact there was a stone difference in the weight both scales showed me at. I was going to the Dr straight after so I jumped on theirs and they were the same as my consultants. Ok, disappointing but went and brought a new set of scales (digital ones).
So these weigh the same as my consultants. Brilliant!
They have shown that I have lost a lot of weight this week. I was pleased, last week I was retaining a lot of water (and I know from experience that I can hold half a stone of the stuff at the wrong time of the month!).
Just been on consultants scales - 12lb difference to mine!
How can this happen? I could understand the first set being wrong, but these are brand new and now weigh me 12lb under!
My consultant even got out her other set of scales, and these were also 12lb out.
Just got on some scales lying around at work (no I don't know why!) and these are 10lb heavier than my ones at home.
So does anyone have any idea why scales can go so very wrong so very quickly?

Is the floor uneven or is there anything under the scales? I once lost 21lbs in a week and I was gutted when I realised there was a sponge bath toy underneath them...

It can be to do with the different flooring they are on so if you are using them in the bathroom then you bring them down stairs to the carpeted living room etc. Also some scales have to be calibrated in some way so check your instructions.

Hi yeah they are all calibrated and all on hard flooring and were in the exact same place on the floor.
The thing is my new scales were the same as here last week, give or take a lb, but over the last week mine have gone from being the same to being 12lb different. Same thing happened to my old scales!
