In sending ds to summer camp tomorrow?

I've just started vomiting and have the worst, pretty much uncontrollable, diarrhoea.

I want to die.

We all ate the same thing last night so I'm pretty sure it's a bug. I felt a little weak and strange all day too.

Ds is 4.5 and I'm thinking I should keep him off camp tomorrow in case he gets everyone else sick.

Dh thinks I'm being ridiculous and that ds might not even get it. He said people don't keep their kids home just in case they might get sick.

I don't know how the fuck I'll actually look after ds actually, I can't go more than a few feet from the toilet and Dh has a really long day at work tomorrow. Sad

So you're really sick, your son is not. You are unable to look after your son and you have childcare arranged. It's a no brainer to me, he goes to childcare, you rest and get better .

Also keeping him away from you means he's less likely to catch whatever you've got.

Much as I LOVE that answer I worry that if ds does come down with it and pass it on go all the others I'll be the bane of society.

Or maybe I'm overthinking it because I'm half near bloody delirious.

Ugggggh id forgotten how d&v bugs can make you want to die a quick death!

Handwashing is key to avoiding cross infection. Really thorough handwashing. If he isn’t sick then send him. You can’t stop life on the off chance someone might get ill.

BertieBotts · 14/08/2018 08:44

Send him FGS! If he was showing symptoms then you would be unreasonable. As he's not, it's perfectly fine.

ApolloandDaphne · 14/08/2018 08:44

If you have it today and he isn't going until tomorrow then why are you worrying about this now? Wait and see how he is tomorrow and if he is still fine then send him off. If he has come down with it keep him off.

@ApolloandDaphne

It's the middle of the night where I am.

I'll tell DH to rush him out without seeing me.

I've been really careful with hand washing/not handling his food etc as I thought I was coming down with a cold as I felt achy and weird.

Dh is being an unsympathetic shit. Moaned about getting me a bowl and a towel for the bed. I'll bloody remember this if he gets it. Angry

In that case i would just send him off to camp if he is fine in the morning then you can have the day to try and get better.
