Two charities many of us support.
“BBC Children in Need has withdrawn funding from Rape Crisis Glasgow because it is a single-sex service.
The Big Lottery Fund recently withdrew funding for Abused Men in Scotland for the same reason.
This is a worrying pattern.”

Is there some new laws or rules on funding that they are following?

I don’t think there are any new rules as such but both these services were small so i think they specialised, one in females and one in males. Presumably reflecting their resources.
Now society recognises so many genders I think that is an unpopular position.

Kannet I think in the past they would have redirected males/females respectively. Whearas now they can’t support any rape survivors = equality.

What next, stopping funding for prostrate cancer charities?

Glasgow Rape Crisis is one of the oldest centres in Scotland, and is one of only a handful that only support women.

While I think it is time for all Rape Crisis centres to support anyone affected by sexual violence, Children in Need were fully aware of who they were supporting and what services they provided. Women and girls are by far the biggest group of people affected by rape and sexual assault. Maybe get should have considered offering to up their funding by 10% instead, in order to cover the additional workload that they feel should be added.

How.... fashionable of them.

That is of course far more important than all the traumatised victims that will be let down by this.

I'd also like to say that Rape Crisis centres throughout the UK are chronically underfunded to the point that many have long waiting lists (like the 9 months in Glasgow).

Please do consider supporting your local Rape Crisis Centre, no matter where in the UK you are.

CIN is only one organisation - they have to prioritise their funding against endless need, and that means they have to have rules about where their donations go. Regardless of what their rules are, there will inevitably be times when it leads to results people are unhappy about.

We should be directing our outrage at the government for chronically underfunding rape crisis centres.

I also wonder how many of you donate to your local rape crisis centre? I’m sure some of you do, but I expect some of you also complain about CIN not supporting organisations that you don’t support yourself...

But most of us do give money to CIN, knowing that it goes to places like Rape Crisis. So we are supporting these centres. Do we now choose to not donate to CIN and give that money to RC instead?
