The ones that you've never forgotten/lived down? The ones that make you cringe when you remember it?

I remember crossing the road, I was about 8 and was waiting in the middle when a bus stopped to let me cross. I gave him a cheesy smile and a thumbs up as I got to the other side, however, due to me not looking where I was going, i tripped on the kerb and went flying, skidding across the floor and landing in a heap. Instead of just running off and crying in my room, I turned back to show I was okay (with another thumbs up - damn I'm an idiot!) - the full bus was laughing at me Blush

Still makes me red just thinking about it.

Anyone want to share? I love a good cringe story Grin

New graduate job. My boss was a newly promoted manager. I had no idea he was newly promoted and terrified of him.

Asked for a meeting, met with him. He was extremely nice and not terrifying at all.

Walked into the mirrored lift after meeting. Realised with horror that one of my buttons had come undone and that I'd been flashing new boss the entire time.

Decided he hadn't noticed or was professional enough to ignore. Eventually forgot. Got on with my life.

[5 year break]

New assignment. I'm a newly promoted manager. I meet my new boss. Same guy he's now a newly promoted partner. I have a serious but stupid problem. I tell him I don't know how to approach this conversation.

His answer: "Don't worry! I always feel there's nothing you can't say to someone who's seen you naked. We might not quite be there yet, but I suppose an hour of boob-flash is worth something."

Blush

He's my best friend at work these days. It's (sort of) funny now. He still suggests I boob-flash whenever I run into a problem.

Me, my two best friends and a guy I was dating were in my house getting ready to go on a camping trip. Drinks had already been flowing so I was feeling pretty smashed tipsy by this point. Well they were all in the kitchen and I had gone up stairs to get something. I was wearing my Drmartan boots (Persephone ones with the heel) those things are so heavy and are NOT good for drunken legs.. as I was about to find out..
Well I came back down stairs, the bottom of the stair well is right next to the kitchen door. I'd left dd baby gate closed so tried to climb over it but the top of my boot clipped the top of the gate. I went flying across the hallway (past the kitchen door..) stair gate came off the wall and both me and it landed on the floor, me flat on my face Blush cue hysterical laughter from friends and a mortified/emabarassed for me look from dating guy. Tbf I fall over all the time but that one has always stuck as the most cringing Blush
