Rack sack
Graph paper
Large nite book for coallge
Small note book for work
Binder
Pencil case
Geometry set
Tracing paper
Engineering trousers
He’s getting safety boots from work

What engineering discipline and what sort of company?

Racoon100 · 10/08/2018 15:17

If he is in an office he should get some semi-smart work cloths (most people tend to wear trousers, shirt but no tie). If out on site he should get thin trousers and tshirt, anything PPE related should be provided by his employer

Child?

All paper and stationery will probably be provided by the company.

PPE will definitely be provided - a lot of companies won't let you self provide.

If office based while in work then at least 3 pairs of sensible/smart trousers and about 5 button down shirts. A few ties probably wouldn't hurt (depends on the company though, I wouldn't go crazy on ties as most don't bother these days. )

If workshop based they will probably be provided with uniform.

Oh - calculator!

I always buy my own.
