On hols, we played a family game around the pool with loads of other holidaymakers of all ages. 1st time, I got to the final 3. 2nd time I won. Prize was 2 free cocktails (not sure what the kids' prize would have been). I was really chuffed with myself as I never win anything.
My OH said I should have let the girl win who was in the final with me (she was about 11). I disagreed as for all I know she may have won other stuff, and I don't really agree with 'letting kids win' as they need to learn that you can't win 'em all.
Was I unreasonable to claim victory?
