The internet is not as big as I thought!!!!

I post about all sorts. I name change regularly to protect anonymity. I like that MN is anonymous.

I have discovered someone close to me posting lots on similar site - threads about me, my parenting, etc. I shouldn't have read but I did. Not everything but reading as much as I did is probably already an invasion of privacy.

I need to completely ignore and never read again don't I?
I can't "unread" it but need to try.

I need to get the "aaarrgh" shock out of my system and stick to threads about food or songs!

It sounds as though you’re being very reasonable (to the extent I wondered if this was a reverse!)

Depending on who it is and what was posted I’d probably mention you saw it. If it’s someone close enough that they are posting regularly about your parenting presumably they are an important person in your life and it might be beneficial to talk about it?

It also means they will stop (presumably!) and the temptation to spy on their posts won’t be there anymore. Because I think that would be an invasion of privacy - you can’t help what you’ve seen but you can help what is there to be seen in the future.

Definitely not a reverse but clearly very unreasonable for you to think so. Food for thought!
