Soft play today (it had air conditioning so was better than being outside!). The tables were very close together, fortunately it wasn’t too busy although I chose to sit close to the baby section (for the baby in my group) and next to another family with children who had older children. I had 4 children with me of various ages.

I put the baby into a high chair at lunch time, so quite clearly there was going to be food, and I talked to all the children that I had ordered food. It was obvious.

Food arrived and we began. People at the next (very close) table then proceeded to launch into a good 20 minute in depth chat about shit and vomitting. I couldn’t get up and move tables, and I just tried not to listen. I didn’t know what to say to them - not only was it gross, IMO it was rude! AIBU that regardless of what kind of establishment you are visiting, if people are eating you don’t talk about diarrhoea and vomiting??! Confused
