Tell me im not going mad. A friend of mine has just corrected me. Apparently I’ve been saying pedestal wrong my whole life. I pronounce is pede-stal she pronounces it pede-stool. Apparently you need to put the ‘stool’ at the end. She’s just laughed hysterically at me for pronouncing it wrong! I’ve literally never heard anyone say it this way but her. She’s convinced she’s right as apparently her English teacher at her very posh private school used to pronounce it this way. Aibu to laugh in her face and tell her she’s wrong
