mattress protector for Christmas?

Staying with a relative at the moment and am finding their spare room bed really uncomfortable. I think they know their spare bed isn’t great but keep it like that on purpose to stop guests over staying. (A common problem for them since they live in a lovely place by the sea!)

WIBU to buy them a mattress protector for Christmas? (or just smuggle one in next time I visit?)

Mattress topper? Buy yourself a 2" deep memory foam and take it with you each time. Mutter something about a bad back each time.

Just buy them one but yabu to give it as a Christmas gift. That would be one shit gift.

Take one with you if the bed isn’t comfy. To buy one as a gift would look really rude! I quite admire their way of getting rid of guests quite quickly tbh.

icelolly has a point. It's good not make your guest room too comfortable. Ours is between the kids rooms while we're hidden away in the loft Grin
