A more lighthearted topic, but I genuinely have a newfound love for Ariana Grande. She just strikes me as being such an incredible person and her music really motivates and puts me in a better mood.

My family thinks I'm strange lol for loving her a lot more than the expected teenage girl but I was think of buying her merchandise (t-shirts and sweatshirts) for DD and I. Her album Sweetener comes out on August 17th and I'm planning on buying a CD copy and streaming it immensely; I honestly feel as if I'm in peak teenage hysteria but I'm just so excited for what she has to offer.

Absolutely LOVING her latest singles 'no tears left to cry' and 'God is a woman' - particularly the latter, and I'm happy that she's pushing conversation on feminism. I HAVE to see her in concert. I feel like I'd rinse my bank account for any product she releases.

Am I being unreasonable for being a grown adult loving Ariana Grande? She even gets brownie points for having a celebrity perfume line that actually smells nice.

You know you're allowed to like and buy whtevsr you like. She's not my cup of tea personally. I'm a Huge Kylie Minogue fan tho and know a lot of people don't like her. Still, Kylie's been releasing chart toppers for almost 30 years tho.

I think I just really respect the way she handled the Manchester event and did her tributes incredibly which moving on appropriately. I also see how on Twitter she's consistently showing love/giving advice/helping out her fans. My OP was a just a tab hyperbolic but I'm just happy that not only girls but all markets have a role model who is so socially conscious and liberating.

She has some good songs and has a very good voice but she's not the inspiration of the year for me.

As well as her music videos how about linking the video where she's licking doughnuts intended on being sold to customers in a shop and saying how she hates America?

Well I think the good she's done (consistent charity work, spoken out about issues) greatly outweigh her downfalls but it really shows what type of person she is when her major scandal was when she licked a donut when high on prescribed medication (especially compared to other, much worse celebs). She also repeatedly apologised about the America situation and explained what she meant as at the time she was high on medication.

The fact that people hang on to this issue from nearly 3 years ago but neglect the good she's done more recently shows how we love to hold on to negativity for way too long.

I like her too! Compared to the antics of Jimmy Page, Axl Rose, Madonna, Bieber, Gallagher bros., Josh Homme etc etc I think the donut incident is very mild. And she apologised for it!

Nothing wrong with crushing on a celeb as long as you know that the affection you have for her will always be one sided.
