To think about becoming a sex worker?

Well of sorts- selling videos/pics/underwear, bit of webcamming. Not brave enough to do escorting

Money is meant to be good- need to save to buy my own house and want my own business one day..

That's nice dear. Not really a sex worker filming a bit of titty action.Confused

TheConstantMoaner · 04/08/2018 19:05

So there is absolutely nothing else you can offer then to show your naked bits to sleeze bags? I would settle for a rented accommodation for the rest of my life then have a mental breakdown when you realise what a horrible mistake you have made.
But it’s obviously up to you. It’s your life.

umbrelladeight13 · 04/08/2018 19:13

I honestly don’t know if I will regret it?

The money is a pro. As is my love of sex. Couldn’t give a monkeys if anyone finds out- those that judge aren’t worth my time Smile

There was an 'ask me anything' thread on here last week about a lady who was an escort and started by webcamming, might be useful to read her thread?

Poptart4 · 04/08/2018 21:17

Your main concern should be is it safe??

Is there any chance of you being abused or attacked by a client?

I know you say you don't care what people think but will you still feel that way 10yrs from now when your running your own business and a client recognises you? Will it effect your future business if this was to get out?

What about children? Do you have any, will you have any? Would it bother you if they found out?

A job like this could have alot of long reaching consequences. Theres alot to think about op but if your sure you won't regret it then go ahead.

Bambamber · 04/08/2018 21:36

If seen this subject come up a few times on here and some ladies with experience say it can be absolutely soul destroying, while others say it was worth it for the financial gain. Some obviously deal with it better than others

sirmione16 · 04/08/2018 21:41

I used to be a cam girl. I don't recommend it at all. Some months money isn't good, some months you get lucky - the competition is high and only those in the top few percent make a sustainable amount.

Also, i has multiple scary instances of blackmail, stalking and abusive messages. Some filmed my sessions, the videos are still out there online somewhere. They track your information (I had systems downloaded to prevent this but still got in) and they found my social media, my real name and threatened to contact family members. I still get emails to this day saying they're still watching my videos, congratulating me on a promotion (I posted in on my security setting protected Facebook....) and Facebook messages from fake profiles.

It's a scary world to be in, and it never leaves you. It's not glamorous, it's degrading eventually.

I couldn't see this thread and not comment my experiences - and I know multiple girls who have similar stories.

beavertown · 04/08/2018 21:41

What do you think the money will be? It is a pretty saturated market. What is your niche offer?

Webcamming? Open to Using objects ? Anal?

KarmaStar · 04/08/2018 21:47

Your body ,your choice.
As pp have said, once out there those pictures can get into anyone's hands, they are out there for the rest of your life.
Seriously consider the advice from @sirmione16.

FuckMePinkAndCallMeCedric · 04/08/2018 21:50

I wouldn’t bother if I were you. The amount of free porn out there I wouldn’t have thought there would be that much money in webcamming.

As for your love of sex... nothing is going to put you off that faster than someone paying you for the “service”.

TheQueef · 04/08/2018 21:50

IMO you would be storing up years of mental anguish, enough to affect your whole life.

It doesn't pay enough for that.

beavertown · 04/08/2018 21:50

Have you seen any webcam videos? Have you investigated what customers want? It is far from flashing a bit of titty.

Emmageddon · 04/08/2018 21:51

Loving sex is irrelevant.

Newerversion · 04/08/2018 21:53

Not unresasonable but not wise.

UpstartCrow · 04/08/2018 21:54

Listen to sirmione16, and drop the idea that is got anything to do with enjoyable sex. Dont confuse your working life with your sex life.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 04/08/2018 21:55

It’s up to you, but the reality is people will judge, it’s a sleazy way to make a living.

There’s a high chance your family will find out... I can’t imagine your parents would be proud, any children you have will be mortified, and any future partner may be put off you.

If all that is worth a few quid to you then crack on 🤷🏻‍♀️

Newerversion · 04/08/2018 21:58

I think once you make the decision to work in the sex industry you have to accept that at a later date any images saved may reappear and have be detrimental.

sirmione16 · 04/08/2018 22:02

I'm relieved to see people's grounded comments on this and wish I'd be told before I got into it!

Yes people irl do indeed find out, my fiancé got messaged saying "do you know what your Mrs has been up to?" And sent a link to a recorded session - I had long stopped camming before I met him, however had never told him I'd done it, it was just something I didn't want to disclose. Luckily he's a patient and understanding man, realised I was young and stupid essentially, didn't do it any more and never would. We're still together. But the panic attack I had when he confronted me was unreal, and I'm left feeling like damaged goods to him now.

marvellousnightforamooncup · 04/08/2018 22:06

I think you're naive, nuts or trolling tbh. You don't go I to sex work because you like sex FFS.

You've had good advice on here. Do your research and be prepared and safe and know that there's likely to always be footage of you on the internet for future colleagues/employers/friends to see.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 04/08/2018 22:07

If you're serious; look into what you'd need to do to raise money. It's generally not naughty pictures and flashing your boobs anymore. The money is in taking requests; doing more and more outlandish things and serving fetishes.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 04/08/2018 22:08

Not that I think you should do this. It sounds utterly insane; but I expect that if you're really thinking of doing this because you like money and sex, you haven't looked into this more and you'll change your mind when you do.

AlphaBravo · 04/08/2018 22:09

I have done it. Pay can range from £30-360 for a couple of hours work. Sometimes more. But it's not guaranteed and is a niche fetish market generally. It's the one market where if you're older, pregnant, bbw, non white you will make more money than most avg pretty white girls. No one has a fetish for avg pretty white girls. You have to have backbone, treat it like a performance and a business and never show your face or real hair colour.

Also whoever got traced must have been in a horror movie set because one fake gps app, incognito settings and skype on your phone means it's virtually untraceable.

bsbabas · 04/08/2018 22:11

Just watched the deuce on now TV that should put you off. Even very famous sex workers are either dependent on their clients or their bosses who will make a lot more money than them.

Newerversion · 04/08/2018 22:13

Alphabravo- did you blur your face in your sessions? I guess if you never advertise showing your face or work showing it then anonymity is ensured?

recklessruby · 04/08/2018 22:20

Can you not take a second job to make some extra money?
My ds did bar work after his day job a few nights a week and I have done morning or evening office cleaning jobs as extra.
You would take longer to save the money but you wouldn't regret it or worry about being outed and possibly blackmailed in the future.
If you are working now is there any overtime available?
I only knew one woman who did sex work (escort) and she was hard as nails and just loved money but so was her dh.
I couldn't do it
