I walk to work and the DCs walk to school but I have always had a car. With costs rising and brexit coming I wonder if I should get rid of the car. DH has a work car but it is work only so I couldn’t use that, currently I use the car for shopping, trips and a couple of DC clubs. Anyone got rid of their car in this situation and regretted it? For the amount it costs to run it seems sensible to get rid of it but people keep telling me that I will lose my independence? The DC clubs are 1 mile-ish away so could walk, food deliveries would be a lot cheaper than MOT/fuel/tax.
