Posting here for traffic because I'm at the end of my tether with my stupid eyelids.

I know it's the heat but how can I stop my eyeliner fading?! Also the tops of my eyelids always look shiny and it's not a good look.

I'm a sucker for a glow but this heat is destroying my face!! Anyone got any good recommendations?

I just don't wear eyeliner in this heat, nothing more than a tinted moisturiser , and tend to have a lash lift and tint so I don't have to bother with mascara either

Macs Painterly Paint pot. I think technically its a cream eyeshadow but it makes a great base for eyeshadow and definitely makes eyeshadow stay put. I have oily lids all the time and use this every day.

Haha thanks! Eyelid meltdown has slightly subsided! I just look about 8 if I don't wear eye makeup. Lash lift and tint sounds good though didn't think of that! And I'll have a look in Mac today and see what I can find :) thanks x

NYX do base makeup for eyelids. I use primer, seems to work.

I also use their vinyl eyeliner, stays on well!

@ginandnappies firstly, great name! 😂

Secondly, primer is your friend. I use a smashbox one. Nyx do an eye makeup specific one, which I use under eyeshadow so would probably work well under normal eyeliner too.

In the heat, I do find that a thin line of black eyeshadow can hold up better than kohl or liquid eyeliner, if that helps :)

I feel your pain....member of the hooded eyelid club over here. I found the body shop pen eyeliner is the only one for me, £10 but worth every penny! I agree with pp though, I tend to not really bother in this heat, I just melt aha

Sunglasses? (Every day I leave the house with my shoes on the right feet and my underwear the right way round is a victory - I aspire to giving a shit about the shininess of my eyelids)

have recommended before but Wunder2 super stay eyeliner pencil is the only one that stays on my oil slicked lids ..it's miraculous .

The nyx eyeshadow primer isn't very good ime.

Try an urban decay one, it's been my go-to for years and my eye make up doesn't budge.

I remember seeing this article a while ago and somehow remembered it. This girl was involved in a car crash and her eyeliner stayed absolutely perfect the whole time!

Eyelash extensions are so good in this heat! They thicken the lashline so it looks like you're wearing a thin line of eyeliner. And they don't melt in the heat. Only problem is the cost!

I always dab powder then use urban decay eye primer on my lids and eyeshadow or eyeliner never budges. I use Mac or urban decay shadows mostly.

Have your eyeliner tattooed on.

Nars eye primer and bobbi brown long wear eyeliner. Lasts ridiculously well.

I find the nars one better than the urban decay eye primer but YMMV

I also prefer the BB long wear eyeliner to the urban decay 24/7 long lasting eyeliner, but that's more to do with the texture - I find the BB goes on more smoothly, whereas the UD drags a bit.

I recommend not wearing make up. Works for me.

Eye primer, Smash box has a good one and Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is your way froward.

Bobbi Brown long wear eye gel goes nowhere, even in this heat!

Primer is your friend.
I love rimmel fix and perfect.
Use all over face.

Powder eyelids (after foundation/concealer if wearing).
Press into eyelids with a sponge/puff.
I love rcma no colour powder, or innisfree no sebum powder.

Line eyes with dark eyeshadow and a fine brush, or use shadow on top of eyeliner pencil for extra staying power.

Apply a light dust of powder OVER the eyeliner (taking care not to smudge it).

It should last all day. Mine certainly does not budge unless I rub it.

I also powder my eyebrows, after primer, and before brow pencil.
They don't move either!

I look like an egg with no brows on or eye make up.
My brows and eyelashes are fine and almost non existent.

I refuse to be seen without defined eyes or brows, add a touch of bronzer and I'm a goddess.
They do not fade or disappear, however hot the temperature gets!
