Forgetting really important stuff

Not really an AIBU but not sure where else it belongs.
Just wondering what really important things did you forget to do and what were the consequences?

DH has a colleague who was in a fit of rage yesterday as it seems his daughter forgot to confirm her acceptance of her university offer. So (assuming she remembered to revise and gets the grades) she won't be heading off to university this September as expected after all.

Also I have friends who forgot to buy the Christmas turkey! But to put it in perspective they are a very close family having sadly lost a daughter in tragic circumstances. So they had bangers and mash, went for a long walk and treasured every moment of family time. Sometimes the really important things just aren't that important after all.

Hardly end of the world. Apply in clearing (should be masses of spaces) or take a gap year.
