To buy my husband clothes

Following on from another clothing thread. My husband and I live on a budget which means we don't have loads to buy new clothes but we both like clothes that aren't cheapy cheapy e.g. I prefer monsoon, phase eight, boden to primark/supermarkets and he would like clothes from gap, m&s, Debenhams. I get round this by charity shopping - the ones in my town are great for good brands. His clothes were getting a bit worn out but we couldn't afford to replace them all with new clothes from the shops he likes so I saw some bits in a charity shop (he has basically never set foot in one before), bought them, and he was amazed. He has now asked me to get him a whole new wardrobe (he doesn't want to come along). I'm happy to do this - I suppose my question is AIBU/is this weird? There is no way I would allow him to buy my clothes but we both seem happy with the arrangement the other way round! And do you buy clothes for your OH?

I buy clothes for my husband, mostly due to the fact that I will be the one in the store. We both despise shopping, but when I have to get something, I'll take a run through the men's department and pick up a few things. He's gone shopping by himself many times over the years as well, especially for shoes, and he's always done a great job at picking out clothes.

Oh dear me no
He is an adult capable of buying his own clothes surely
You are not his mother.

I do buy clothes for my husband sometimes - generally if I happen to see something he needs as I am generally the one near the shops.

He doesn't tend to buy many clothes for himself but then I don't buy many clothes either - we are the type of people who will wear something until it wears out Blush

Yes we do that too - just his are totally worn out!

If he trusts your taste and you generally pick things he would like th3n why not?
I would buy clothes for my DH as I generally know what he likes and men sizes are fairly standard.
