To think the correct way to sit...

...If there are 4 seats, is seat 1 or 4. Then if somebody is in seat 1 you sit in 3 or 4. Same goes for toilet stalls/urinals. That rule has been broken several times with me this week.

And if in an empty car park with a million spaces there is somebody in number 1370, you don't park in number 1371. As somebody did to me the other day.

And in a 4 seat face to face train bit, you sit opposite and along from the person already there. You don't sit next to them.

Please learn how to sit people!

If you're OK with 1 & 3, what's the difference between that and first person sitting in 2 and 2nd in 4?

Or 3 and 1 for that matter or 4 and 2.

This is the most British thing I’ve ever read.

Goldenbug · 31/07/2018 19:50

In a row of 4 you need to sit in 1 or 4 to allow the possibility of a couple wanting to sit together.

Thank you NotUmBongo.

I hate sitting opposite strangers in a train. You always end up bumping legs. I like to sit and stare into space so I’d probably choose to sit next to them if I was forced to sit at a table seat.

Golden
This has got to be the most correct thing I've ever read!!

I always try to park between two parked cars when parking in a car park with multiple empty spaces. Just because it lowers the risk of another driver hitting my car.

Agree on the seats though.
