Locked myself in the bathroom to have a bath

AIBU to have locked myself into the bathroom to enjoy a bath? Youngest DS is currently unwell with a viral infection and I haven't been able to do a single thing for myself (like wash Envy) the past few days with little help from OH.
OH gets home from work, wants dinner and then chills for the evening, enjoys a nice long shower etc Don't get me wrong he's really good with the kids...especially when they are playful and being well behaved... Grin
But in the past whenever I've gone to have a bath and left the kiddliwinks with him, he always seems to find himself sitting in the bathroom next to me with the kids in tow because "they want their mummy"
I've just had enough, especially the past few days, and I absolutely stink, I've plopped youngest down on his lap and told him that I was going for a bath...I've locked the door so he can't come in and ruin it Grin

I’d bar the door with the wash basket too just in case Grin Enjoy your bath OP!

What the above poster said.
You have every right to enjoy your bath in peace and privacy.

Seriou? He always fetches the kids into the bathroom when you’re having a bath? That would drive me nuts. Make this the start of a new regime, OP, you need some down time. If he tries to get in or wants you to open the door, stand firm with a loud ‘No way!’

Y absolutely are not BU. Hope you’ve taken candles and a glass of wine (or a large G&T) with you. E joy your down time and make sure he knows that this will be happening regularly from now on.

Turn some music up so you can't hear him/them calling as well.

Good for you! I have to confess I’m a little surprised it was necessary though!

I do this. 7yo ds has learned to pick the lock with a coin. They all trooped into the bathroom a few nights ago and they all trooped out again with a flea in their ear after I shouted at them "for goodness sake, I just want to have a bath in peace!" Seriously, first dh, then ds, then 20mo ds, one after the other, asking different things.

Enjoy your bath ☺️

Gosh brought back memories. I used to occasionally lock myself in the bathroom and enjoy a brief period of solitude. Heavenly and very restorative.
