Dress shopping

I need to buy a new formal dress for a big event. I would like my DH to come with me to tell me what he thinks and if necessary help me with zips or if I get stuck. Is this a problem?

Of course its ok - I always take DH with me as he has a good eye for what suits but I'm a bit clueless when it comes to clothes

Shouldn’t be. A lot of shops have little waiting room areas by the fitting rooms, for just this purpose.

MsJaneAusten · 30/07/2018 11:46

Well it depends really. As you’ve posted in AIBU I’m guessing he doesn’t want to go?

Yanbu for wanting him there, but HINBU for not wanting to go...

Also will he actually give you an unbiased opinion, my DH just says everything looks nice 🙄. A friend is sometimes a better shopping companion , they can help with zips etc

If he doesn’t want to come then he is not going to be very useful. Take a friend instead and make it a day out with lunch.
