To ask for ideas for cheap anniversary surprises

It’s my 20th wedding anniversary in a few weeks and I would like to do something nice for DH as a surprise but not sure what and I have a few restrictions on what I can do.

I have two dds (aged 11 and 13) - they 13 year old can babysit but reluctant to go far from home or stay out too late as they can’t sleep without us being home.

I also have a limited budget - I can afford dinner out and possibly a cinema/theatre trip but not running into hundreds!

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for good anniversary surprises/treats that would be fun/different.

What about repeating one of your fists dates? So make a music mix of your favourite songs, each something nostalgic and wear clothes from back in the day. Watch an old film??

Kids could get involved with the cooking.

Great idea Atalune! That would mean dressing up in 90s Grunge and listening to the Verve, Oasis and Blur! 😊 Could also find a bottle of Black Tower (do they still make it?)

Could be funny! Watch Reality Bites, or Dazed and Confused.

Makes things more memorable.
