I went from looking at garden ideas to fucking 'belieber' pics. Aibu in thinkin the internet roes this to me on purpose?!

I don't quite 'get' Pinterest. I've looked for short haircuts. Click on a picture and get taken to another picture, the same. Click on that and either get taken to a list or another website. Confused Mind you, I still haven't been that far gone I've gone into Belieber pics...Wink Grin

I get sucked into Pinterest worm holes all the time. Start of looking for hairstyles end up doing buzzfeed quizzes. I’m neither middle aged or planing a wedding either. Although my Pinter wedding would be way more lavish than my actual wedding.

Neither apply to me, but I love crafts, even the ones I have 0 interest in trying out so I absolutely love Pinterest.

Occasionally get sucked in looking at weird things about movies and anime I like.

Not sure I'd rather have the vaguely pornographic stuff I randomly found or Justin Bieber fans Confused.

No question Pinterest abounds in worm holes, but I love it for crafts and home decorating ideas. It's like website bookmarks in the form of photos (so easier to browse and find the one you want fairly quickly).

I am middle aged .. all I do on Pinterest is make boards of healthy recipes that I never make ! !! ... or look at fitness exercises that I never do ... good job I'm not planning g a wedding eh

I treat it like a magazine where I can rip out the pages I’m interested in. The more you use it the more tailored the suggested pins get.

I don't really use it to look at things, I just use it for boards. We've renovated our whole house and it's been a useful way to remember where I've seen certain items before we needed them. I've also used it to plan the nursery is good to see how everything would look. Is just less faff than a scrap book or a 'mood board'

I use it like Fash84 does. I have a board for each room in my houses that I'm renovating where I pin the ideas I like, then when I get to doing that room, I have everything in one place.

I don't get it either. Joined at the suggestion of a friend, when I was looking for knitting and crochet patterns. Every one I like, when I click just takes me further and further into a maze of unrelated pages and I've never yet found an actual, usable pattern.

I’ve got loads of boards - craft/sewing projects I’ll never make, house decor, garden ideas, fashion, recipes, etc, etc

My daughters and I use it if we’re going clothes shopping - pin outfits we like then try to find stuff similar

I’ve found loads of sewing and knitting patterns on there

I use it for work a lot too

I love it, I spent 3 hours planning a wedding the other night.
Ive been married for 24 years and have no plans to divorce DH.
I named it my wedding and asked DH what cake he preferred.

I love it. I use it to keep track of ideas. I have boards for haircuts, things I want to buy when I have more money, memories (stuff from my childhood and teens), recipes and art that I like.

If you like something it shows you other stuff you will probably like. I don't get why people would have such strong negative feelings about that?Confused

I find it really annoying to. If I see a picture of food and want the recipe it feels like I have to click about a billion times to get to it.
