Not funny as such ... but many of my Sims are named after work colleagues (well the nicknames I have for them) or people I've seen on Judge Judy .

The names aren't too funny, but I do have an ex boyfriend graveyard from where you could leave them in the pool to die

Every time I feel like playing the sims (any iteration past sims 2) i start out, having fun, then it crashes, i look online for solutions and find it’s just something I have to live with because EA don’t care about fixing bugs, people buy the million expansions and lap it up and I guess just accept the game crashing on a regular basis.

Not funny as such but I've had a Lucy Fur. I also had a Duke Nukem.

Die, have you tried buying and playing through Steam? I used to have similar issues. The game and expansions are pricey but every other month they have 75% off and I have had no problems since.
