Dd has just had a tooth removed ubder sedation. Has started to bleed again approx 2 hours post procedure. She is biting on the gauze pad she was given.

This is ok yes?

If its heavy bleeding I'd ring dentist to check. If its a little, then maybe food or her tongue has set it off? I had tooth out that took a solid hour to pull, the Dentist nearly gave up/was considering hospital. Bleeding stopped in 10mins with pressure on gauze pad. She told me any more bleeding, to call her.

Yes it’s normal. Have had a few and dentist always says If it’s still bleeding after 24 hrs then seek some advice. But thats absolutely normal for up to 12 hrs.

Totally normal for upto 24-hours post procedure :) Mine bled on/off for 24 hours and then I had no issues apart from that.

Also hot weather will make it more prone to bleeding, blood pushed closer to the surface an all that.

Thanks - its not heavy. She is biting on her pad and iitsnot that much really. Bloody horrendous experience for her. I feel awful

Bleeding always looks worse than it is - she will feel miserable for a couple of days - I had mine out at Easter and after 48 hours I felt much better, though eating was still a bit of a minefield for another 48 hours after that!
