I’m in very early pregnancy and keep spotting since morning. I have previous history of miscarriages, so feeling like here we go again and utterly heartbroken. Nobody IRL knows apart from DH who’s at work. Feel so upset and helpless ((((

any chance of getting a gp appointment and leaving early? fwiw lots of people do/can spot in early pregnancy and still have a successful pregnancy. try not to worry although easier said than done. how early are you?

BlueberryButtons · 26/07/2018 10:14

I’m around 4 weeks, judging by my previous experience in such early days once it starts, the docs cant really do anything to stop the m/c. I’ll go with you on maybe it’s just spotting and keep fingers crossed. Hope i’m panicking over nothing

I lnow noone can say for sure but I've had it both ways - spotting and a loss, and spotting in two successful pregnancies. I really hope it will be ok for you. Have a rest and try to do something that keeps your mind entertained? Flowers

I really hope it's just spotting and everything is ok. It can be really common in early pregnancy so there's still lots of hope.

so sorry op. i've (kind of..) been there in that i have had a few miscarriages although one was a missed miscarriage (no spotting/no hb so had a d&c). i only have kind words in fingers crossed and from my experience, aside from the heartbreak just keep on trying! it's all you can do other than down the line if you have been unsuccessfully trying for ie 6 months, seek advice from an expert. it's a stinker ttc, a rollercoaster of emotions and having to deal with useless (often well meaning but insensitive) verbal nonsense advice. best of luck OP, i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Relax, lie down, take it easy. That's what I was told. It worked. Good luck op.

BlueberryButtons · 26/07/2018 10:31

Thank you all for your kind words, i’ll try to go home early and take it easy xxx

I’m so sorry OP. I also have a history of mc, I found keeping as busy and distracted as possible helped me, the wait for scans can be agonising.

peachgreen · 26/07/2018 11:31

I spotted in both my pregnancies - one loss, one successful pregnancy. I totally, totally understand how you're feeling - I was in agonies when I spotted in my second pregnancy because I was convinced it was all over again, it's just an awful feeling. I really hope it all works out for you.
