To complain about heatwave

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 25/07/2018 23:28

I’m not complaining about the heatwave itself just about the the temperature. It would be great if it was in the region of 21/22.but for the last 8 weeks ( where I live) it has been 8 weeks of over 25 🤒 I’m generally hot in the winter so this temperature is almost killing me 😬😬

Yes please. To whom do I address this complaint and can I take your name as a point of contact? As a resolution I would like ten days of uninterrupted 22 degree weather with some night time rainfall.

(can you tell I used to work in a contact centre complaints dept?!)

lostpigeon · 25/07/2018 23:32

you are complaining about the heatwave

lostpigeon · 25/07/2018 23:33

22c is nowhere near a heatwave!

elephantoverthehill · 25/07/2018 23:33

Shall I start an online petition? Sorry who I am I actually petitioning?

violets17 · 26/07/2018 00:03

I am very hot, and not in a good way.

At midnight it is still 28C and I am sharing my put in the fridge face cooler mask with my favourite dog. I have 3 fans on me and I'm wearing shorts and no bra.

I'm fat, I'm 49, I'm menopausal. I may also be dangerous.

pigsDOfly · 26/07/2018 00:12

There really should be someone we can complain to.

It's just getting silly now. It's gone on way too long. I'm hot, I'm not sleeping and I feel wiped out all the time.

The dog isn't getting walked because it's just too hot for her and we're both fed up. It's 12.10am and she's out in the garden lying on the ground trying to cool off. Think I might join her.

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 26/07/2018 00:14

it feels like a normal summer evening to me...got my jumper on..

HopefullyAnonymous · 26/07/2018 00:15

YABU. I hate the cold and would choose the permanent hot sweatiness any day! Please don’t make them make it cold again!!!

73kittycat73 · 26/07/2018 00:15

Read the OP properly lostpigeon.

Titsywoo · 26/07/2018 00:18

Complain all you like, there's nothing anyone can do about it. So either enjoy it as much as you can or suffer it until it cools down (whenever that may be).

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 26/07/2018 00:19

It’s ridiculous, if I wanted this I’d have emigrated! Where I am it’s saying 35/36 tomorrow, what the hell do I do with that?!

It’s also ruined my sex life, and imagine plenty of others as well. I dream of fresh air and cardigans.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 26/07/2018 00:24

Its Teresa May's fault.Grin

AirandMungBeans · 26/07/2018 00:28

I'm currently roasting in this heat as the council has decided that now is a fabulous time to resurface our road, at night, meaning we can't have our windows open due to the very loud racket outside. On the hottest week of the year. DS2's bedroom reached 36 degrees last night so I had to sleep with him downstairs where it was cooler. I say sleep, but the poor little soul couldn't drift off as every few minutes a pneumatic drill 8pm to 5am Angry

AirandMungBeans · 26/07/2018 00:30

That should say "a pneumatic drill woke him up. We have this for the next four nights apparently, 8pm to 5pm". See, the lack of sleep is already getting to me!

ALongHardWinter · 26/07/2018 01:50

It's all Brexit's fault.

delphguelph · 26/07/2018 01:52

Yeah the heatwave is a bit much really. Can't wait till Autumn.
