WIBU to send DCs with a diary/journal?

ExH is taking DCs (6 & 8) away for 2 weeks to Disney world. It’s their first time there and the longest we’ve been apart.
I was thinking of buying them both a journal to fill in whilst they are away. I’ll probably get to FaceTime 2 or 3 times while they are away but they can never remember what they’ve done when we speak in the phone. They both like writing but need a bit of prompting to do so. I feel like I’ll be missing out on such a lot.
ExH won’t mind though I doubt he’ll remind them to fill it in.

I think it would be fine to do if you pitch it as being something for them to look back at in future to remember. You could let them choose a pretty notebook to use. You have to accept that they might not bother though, even if they love the idea they will probably be busy and tired and end up not getting around to it. Hopefully their dad will take photos that you can see?
